Participating organisations for Student Community Service in Vietnam

Below is a list of some of the participating organisations for student volunteering activities and student community service in Vietnam.  Tweet World Travel also works directly with many schools and kindergartens in remote poverty stricken regions of the country for various community and building projects.

LAO CAI SOCIAL PROTECTION CENTRE

Address: 84/20, Duyen Hai ward, Lao Cai town, Lao Cai

Provides social Protection Center is situated in Lao Cai province – one of the poorest regions in Vietnam.  Established in1998, there are now 94 people living in the Center, most are orphans who has lost one or both parents, or ethnic children.

QUANG NINH NURSING ORPHANS CENTRE

Address: Hong Ha ward, Halong city, Quang Ninh province

The centre nurses children born into needy circumstances with physical deformities or Disabled Children Orphaned by Agent Orange have been dealt a cruel double-blow. 

HOA BINH SOCIAL PROTECTION CENTRE

Address: Ky Son town, Ky Son distric, Hoa Binh province

Located about 70 km from Hanoi capital in Ky Son town in the Northwest mountainous province of Hoa Binh province. The center has been taking care of approximately one hundred people including old lonely people, orphans, mentally and physically disabled people

HANOI  CENTRE FOR SOCIAL PROTECTION

Address: Duc Tu commune, Dong Anh distric, Hanoi city

Provides social protection, care and support for sick, poverty stricken and disabled people in the Dong Anh district of Hanoi.

HANOI CARING DISABLE CHILDREN AND ALONE ELDERLIES CENTRE

Address: Thuy An commune, Ba Vi province, Hanoi city

Caring for and sheltering sick, orphaned, lonely, sick & disabled children and elderly people in the Ba Vi province.

BO DE PAGODA ORPHANAGE, HANOI

Address: 90 Phu Vien, Bo De, Long Bien, Hanoi

Located in the capital of Hanoi, Bo De pagoda is home to many orphans.

Female monks in the pagoda have been welcoming a huge number of children (most orphans) living in the pagoda. Now, in the pagoda, approximately 50 children (mostly orphans) living in the pagoda: around 40 infants and 10 secondary pupils.

BIRLA CHILDREN’S VILLAGE HANOI

Address: Mai Dich ward, Cau Giay distric, Hanoi city

This orphanage has provided care and education for the children between 2 and 18 year old and has been, operating in Hanoi since 1987.

NINH BINH SOCIAL PROTECTION CENTRE

Address: Ninh Phong commune, Hoa Lu district, Ninh Binh province

Provides social protection and care for abandoned, ill, poor and disabled children across  it’s 3 centers.

HUE – KIM LONG SOCIAL PROTECTION CENTRE

Address: 21, Pham Thi Lien, Hue city, Hue province

The centre provides social protection, shelter and education to 62 orphans sheltered as early as 2 days of age and 17 mentally disabled between 2 and 12 years of age young girls, within the Hue province.

DA NANG SOCIAL PROTECTION CENTRE

Address: Khanh Son street, Hoa Khanh ward, Lieu Chieu district, Da Nang city

Provides social protection, care and shelter for poverty stricken, disabled and seriously ill people in the Lieu Chieu district.

HOI AN CENTRE FOR SOCIAL PROTECTION OF QUANG NAM

Address: 1, Pham Hong Thai, Son Phong ward, Hoi An district, Quang Nam province

Established in2009, the centre manages, shelters and rehabilitates mentality and physicality for disadvantage and invalid orphans and abandoned children of Quang Nam from at the age of 0 to the age of 18 year old Children.

KHANH HOA ELDERLY AND CHILDREN’S CARE CENTRE

Address: Vinh Hai ward, Nha Trang city, Khanh Hoa province

Providing care and shelter for disadvantaged children and elderly people in the Khan Hoa province.

KHANH HOA ORPHANAGE CENTRE

Address: Vinh Hai ward, Nha Trang city, Khanh Hoa province

Providing care and shelter for orphans and disabled children in the Khan Hoa province.

SOCIAL PROTECTION AND VOCATIONAL CENTRE FOR DISABLED PEOPLE OF HO CHI MINH CITY

Address: 215 Vo Thi Sau, ward 7, district 3, Ho Chi Minh City

Provides education, health care, social welfare and vocational training for disabled people in the district.

VOCATIONAL CENTRE FOR YOUTH OF HO CHI MINH CITY

Address: 14 Nguyen Van Bao, ward 4, Go Vap district, Ho Chi Minh city

Since May 2003,  the centre has been providing free vocational training, and job to disabled people.

CENTRE FOR SOCIAL PROTECTION OF CHILDREN OF VUNG TAU

Address:  1 Phan Bội Châu, Phường 2, tp. Vũng Tàu, Bà Rịa – Vũng Tàu

The Centre for Social Protection of Children of Vung Tau consists of three centers in Ba Ria – Vung Tau province: Phan Boi Chau Centre in Vung Tau City accommodates babies, children under 8; Ngo Quyen Centre, 7km from Vung Tau City takes care for children ranging in age from 8 to 18 and Long Hai Centre in Long Hai town which is 25km from Vung Tau provides schooling and food for underprivileged children in the Long Hai area.

THU DUC YOUTH VILLAGE (PICASSO) OF HO CHI MINH CITY

Address: 18 Vo Van Ngan, Truong Tho ward, Thu Duc district, Ho Chi Minh city

Provides care and shelter for orphaned and abandoned children in Ho Chi Minh City.

TAY NINH SOCIAL PROTECTION CENTRE

Address: Hiep Truong, Hiep Tan commune, Hoa Thanh district, Tay Ninh province

The centre cares for, shelters and rehabilitates around 400 abandoned, disabled and seriously ill children in the Tay Ninh province.

BA RIA-VUNG TAU SOCIAL PROTECTION CENTRE

Address: Toc Tien commune, Tan Thanh district, Ba Ria-Vung Tau province

Provides social protection, care and shelter for poverty stricken, ill and disabled people in the Ba Ria-Vung Tau province.

VINH LONG SOCIAL PROTECTION CENTRE

Address: Phuoc Yen hamlet, Phu Quoi commune, Long Ho district, Vinh Long province

Located 3 hours from Hoi Chi Minh City in situated in an old abandoned prison, this centre provides social protction, care and shelter for orphans, poverty stricken, disabled and extremely ill people of the Vinh Long province.

CAN THO ORPHANS’ CARE CENTRE

Address: 251/1 Tam Vu, Hung Loi ward, Can Tho city, Can Tho province

Provides shelter and care in a supporting environment for orphaned children between 2 and 8 years old.
